Stop at the bivouac

Food & rest

Unlike the alpine hut, the bivouac has much smaller dimensions, is more spartan and is left to the good use of those who rely on it and want to spend the night there. If this is your destination, remember to bring a sleeping bag suitable for the temperatures, a compatible mattress, food and clothing that is sufficiently warm and insulating.

It is good practice to share food with those who come later, a tradition of the mountain people, which goes hand in hand with the obligation to leave the bivouac better than how you found it. Also inform yourself if light and stove are available, calling the managers, to plan accordingly.
